In short: a PocketGPT subscription is a voluntary monthly donation via Patreon. As a rule, payments are non-refundable; exceptions are possible only under Patreon’s terms or where the law requires it.
1. How payments work
We do not take payments directly and we never see your card details. The subscription is issued as monthly support of the project on the Patreon platform. Patreon charges and processes the payment under its own rules, and access to PocketGPT is granted according to your level of support.
2. Refunds
- Since this is a donation, payments already made are non-refundable.
- A refund is possible only under Patreon’s terms and rules (Patreon reviews such requests) or where mandatory law — for example, in your country — requires it.
- We cannot refund a payment processed through Patreon on our own. To make a request, use Patreon’s help section or write to them from your account.
- If you believe you were charged by mistake or twice, write to us first; we will help sort it out and, if needed, pass information to Patreon.
3. Cancelling the subscription
You can cancel the subscription at any time in your Patreon account. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund those already made. The end date of your access is determined by the period you paid for on Patreon. Deleting your account on our website does not cancel the Patreon subscription; you need to cancel it separately.
4. Promo codes
Free promo codes have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged or refunded, and may have a limited validity period.
5. Technical problems
If the service does not work on your device, first check it on the /test page. We will help find the cause, but technical difficulties, device incompatibility or installation problems (see the terms of use) do not by themselves give the right to a refund. At our own discretion we may extend your access period or offer compensation, but we are not obliged to.
6. Disputed charges (chargeback)
Please contact us before disputing the payment with your bank. Unjustified chargebacks after using the service may result in restricted account access.
7. Your statutory rights
This policy does not limit the rights granted to you by mandatory consumer protection legislation.
